Virginia Youth Symphony Orchestra
The Virginia Youth Symphony Orchestra is a youth orchestra unlike any you have ever heard before!

We only play professional repertoire - and if you close your eyes, you can't tell that it is young people playing!

Not only is the repertoire professional, but so is the playing level and the performance opportunities!

The VYSO (as we are affectionately know) performs at least three main-stage concerts per season, records a professionally recorded and label distributed compact disc, films a video and performs some really cool music - from Classical to Broadway, Pop to Rock, Jazz, Gospel and first-run Movie Scores!

Three summers ago we performed in Italy (for the Pope) - summer before that year we performed at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC. Last summer we went to Greece and Turkey. This past summer ... Lincoln Center (NYC) & Toronto, Canada ... and next year - - - CHINA!
